29 exploration and appraisal wells were drilled in the JDA by CTOC and CPOC resulting in the discovery of 15 gas fields. Total accumulative exploration investment is about USD 364 million.

Installation of the first Platform Jacket for the Cakerawala Gas Field Development Project in the JDA Block A-18 was completed.  |

Exploration period for Block A-18, B-17 and C-19 has expired, current Contractor retain the Gas Holding Area in these blocks. An areas of approximately 3,475 sq.km were relinquished to MTJA as a new block in the JDA.
